The Dewey School is a not for profit, IRS approved 501(c)(3) organization. Every school that has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS has undergone an intensive process that includes publicly declaring a mission statement - a set of ideals through which every decision is filtered. This along with the unique setting of the Shaker Village and the unique opportunities of nature-based learning allow our students to become the critical thinkers and creators who will shape our world- all made possible by the generous donations of donors and sponsors that go 100% into our programs.
