A Summer of Discovery, Creativity, and Outdoor Adventure
At The Dewey School, summer camp is all about hands-on learning, exploration, and play in nature. Our nature-based program invites children ages 5–9 to spend their days outdoors—discovering, building, and creating through guided exploration and child-led curiosity.

What Campers Experience
🪵 Whittling & Woodcraft: Learn the art of working safely with tools to create something special from natural materials.
💦 Aquatic Discoveries: Explore ponds, streams, and wetlands while observing the plants and animals that call them home.
🍃 Nature Arts & Crafts: Create with nature’s materials—leaf crowns, weaving, and art inspired by the outdoors.
🌳 Team Building & Games: Build friendships and confidence through cooperative, community-centered activities.
🌿 Weekly Themes
Week 1 – Forest Builders
Discover the hidden architecture of the forest. Build shelters, forts, and woodland creations using natural materials and teamwork.
Week 2 – Pond Life Explorers
Dip nets into the water to study aquatic creatures and learn about the delicate ecosystems that thrive beneath the surface.
Week 3 – Nature Artists
Create art inspired by the land—leaf crowns, weaving, natural pigments, and wild sculpture.
Week 4 – Trailblazers & Trackers
Learn navigation, animal tracking, and outdoor skills through exploration and adventure in the forest.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Ages: 5–9 years old
Location: The Dewey School
Focus: Nature-based, hands-on, community-centered learning
Tuition: Dewey Children enrolled in the 2025-2026 School Year - $275/wk
All other children - $280/wk
