Summer Camp
The Dewey School offers a nature-based summer camp experience for children ages 4 years 8 months - 10 years of age. Chose one, two, or all four of the week long sessions (8am - 3pm) designed to strengthen a love for nature and learning through play.
Each day will provide opportunities to connect with nature, build friendships, and strengthen our knowledge of the world around us through a hands-on learning approach. Our daily adventures take place on 700 acres of forest at the Canterbury Shaker Village with activities including fort building, whittling, free-form art, exploration of stream and ponds, nature games, mindful moments, music, and more.

Our Camp Day
Just like our preschool program we believe that limited interruption of the children's work is essential to their learning and exploration therefore our time is ish-time at Summer Camp allowing for shifts in our day as needed.

8:00am: Arrival & Welcome
9:00am: Good Morning Song & Morning Meeting
9:30am: Snack
10:00am: Adventure Time
12:00am: Storytime, Yoga, and Group Activities
12:30am: Lunch
1:00pm: Mindfulness, Reflection and Rest
1:30pm: Digging Deeper, Daily work & Strengthening Skills
2:30pm: Closing Meeting, Clean Up & Goodbyes
3:00pm: Pickup

We are offering 4 camp sessions for 2024.
Session A: 7/8 - 7/12
Session B: 7/15 - 7/19 - REGISTRATION FULL
Session C: 7/22 - 7/26
Session D: 7/29 - 8/2

Please note that your child must be 4 years 8 months old by the session start date to attend summer camp.

Tuition per session
Dewey Children enrolled in the 2023-2024 School Year - $265/wk
All other children - $275/wk
